Merry Christmas!

Updated: May 9, 2022

Personal Sharing about my insight for Christmas this year.

I believe this Christmas in 2020 is going to be a special one for everybody! Less party, more home time and more self reflections.

As Christmas is approaching, I started to read the the children's bible to my two lovely boys. Though I have heard of the story a million times, I have never been a story teller and I was greatly moved.

1/ When Jesus was born, the angels said to the terrified shepherds

'Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. ...".

In 2020, there is no doubt that most of our Christmas wishes are to get rid of COVID19 ASAP. Surely it would be a "great joy" to all the people if it disappear all of a sudden. So what was the "great joy" the angels were referring to 2020 years ago? They were referring the birth of Jesus, the saviour who saved us from sins, and this good news is still effective today! Isn't that more powerful? Even if COVID19 is gone, we still need to face global warming, natural disasters, wars, decease and death... However, Jesus the saviour, promised to bring whoever believes in him to a new place with a new beginning, a place with no more pain and tears, which overcome ALL of our current problems. Can you imagine such "great joy" ? So forget about all your current worries, because the "good news that will cause great joy for all the people" exists 2020 years ago! Joy is always around waiting for us to accept!

2/ Jesus is born in a manger As christian, we all know Jesus is the lord, the king of kings. But when he came to the earth as human, he humbly arrived in a manger, not in a fancy and ultra clean hospital. The thought of it makes me cry, it is not about how clean and beautiful you are outside, but how clean and pure you are inside.

If you are a christian, let's pray for the world! Dilemmas are rolling like snowball, may all people hear about the good news and have hope to begin in the new place. If you are not christian and may be feeling clueless reading this, God bless you!

Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room.
